Today I got hopelessly lost in Eden Prairie searching for my grandsons orthodontist. I followed police car #242 Crime Tech Unit into Eden Prairie Malls parking lot and almost in tears by this time pulled up to the car and told Kris I was hopelessly lost and could she point me in the direction of 78th st. She was so sweet. She took my address I was looking for and found it on her computor. She took pity on me and said "follow me" and she drove almost 5 miles during rush hour at 5pm to guide me to the office. I am so grateful. My grandson was in agony with broken wires sticking in his gums and without her help we would never have made it to the Dr. in time for the 5:30 appt. He spent over an hour in the chair getting fixed and she even told me how to get back to st. louis park. Thank you, thank you, thank you for going way over the call of duty. Linda Mckee ST. I took my dogs swimming at a local lake as they love to swim. My older dog has trouble hearing and took off swimming after two ducks after an hour of already swimming. I had went in to try and get her but lost sight of her as she went around this point on the lake. I walked to the other landing and you can't see the lake from the trail as the coverage is so thick. I was so worried that she was gone. I want to thank Evan and the other two officers for locating her and going in to get her! They definitely went the extra mile!
Yesterday my car broke down in front of Spire bank. Women with child standing on the side of the road. Eden Prairie police came by, ran my plates and left. The car was in a turn lane with traffic roaring by. I feel the police should have at least waited and directed traffic until the tow truck arrived. They did not.
This police department is horrible. I was recently in a accident this month. I called and reported the accident and an officer came out. The person who hit me left the scene so the officer said he would follow up with me. We are on the 17th day now from when the accident happened and I have no received not one call from the officer who took the report. This is sad that these are the people who are suppose to protect us!
