Several months ago I went into Best Buy to purchase a TV. I had done research previously and knew exactly which one I wanted. I've been burned before by experiences at Best Buy but not this time. I found someone to help me carry it out, they did not try to push me to a more expensive TV or in any question my purchase decision (in the past this has happened). He carried it out, put it in my car and away I went (after paying of course lol). I have been very satisfied with my purchase and while I don't really enjoy being bugged by sales people when in Best Buy at least this buying experience went smooth.
Extremely engaging, helpful staff. They seek you out to ask if you need anything, but not in a slimy salesmen kind of way. I felt welcome and free to roam around uninterrupted but also comfortable to ask novice questions.
One thing I liked about my visit was there seemed to be plenty of staff to help customers. I needed two different things that happen to be on opposite sides of the store. As I walked from on side to the other I remember thinking to myself they have a lot of employees working this evening.
Poor customer care and service. Gave it 3 chances. Failed. I guess I'll be looking for a different best buy near me.
They can have good deals sometimes. Expect the store to be a zoo and cramped so you can't even pass someone in an isle. Be prepared to wait in line a while to get help or checkout. About the only place you're guaranteed to find an employee, is the loss prevention guy at the front door.
