I'm updating my review. They did away with the hand dryers at the end of the wash by putting in more blowers. The price is still the same. I now have to get out of my car and hand dry the water spots myself and my windows. You may want to consider going to a regular gas station car wash and save some money.
I have been a member of their unlimited service for several years. However with the recent remodling of the facility the quality of the wash has declined, very disappointing
We have been an unlimited wash member for awhile. Loved the service until recently. They just installed an automatic dryer, no more staff to dry the cars. I understand the efficiency, however, the machine leaves water spots on my windows. This car wash now rates up there with the gas station washes.
Take your floor mats to the front of the wash, and they will wash them off for you!
If it's not clean the first time, just ask about them running through the wash again - they are happy to do it.
Part of what made Mister so great was the hand drying. The recent update installed automatic blowers does not dry my vehicle well and it is left with spots and dripping all over. I can (do) get out and dry it myself now, but feel like that was part of the service I signed up for.
Most importantly, recent changes with equipment do not wash the entire right side of my vehicle. They push a button to offset the equipment so it doesn't get caught on my spare tire (Jeep) on back. However, the offset results in NONE of the rotating brushes touching the vehicle on the entire right side during wash. So, I just glide through while soap and water drip on the Jeep. Other than the carpet strips above oscillating, only the left side gets the washing. I've explained this to onsite manager during three prior visits and he has watched it. His answer is that they have to offset to avoid damaging my vehicle and their equipment. I get that, but there must be an offset adjustment that can be made between not actually touching the vehicle and getting entanglement. As I said, been going here for over 10 years (3 with this vehicle) and it has not been an issue getting a proper wash. No problems in Edina either.
Going downhill... I've been an unlimited car wash member for over 10 years and I frequent the Eden Prairie location since I live here and it is convenient. Recent changes are a significant downgrade, at least for my vehicle.
Pro - tips:
I probably won't be going back to EP location much and will either cancel membership or go to Edina location which is still great (just not as convenient for my daily travels).
The service is friendly, but communication is a challenge sometimes. Just added a third vehicle about a month ago. Got it loaded in their unlimited car wash club. We got the unlimited radio ID sticker in the dash/window they provided, but every time we take it in they say the vehicle is not on the plan. Ask them to add it... come back next time... still not on the plan. Been back 4 times now and it still isn't on the plan. I don't understand how to communicate this to them. I guess I call Corporate.
Ask for a cloth when they are drying your car, and wipe down the inside.
All I can say is FREE VACUUMS! Wonderful car wash, happy staff, and free vacuums! A great place to get your car wash! Lines can seem long but the staff gets the cars through fast.
