Not a good experience at all. Vehicle was obviously smoked in and not taken care of. To make matters worse, to "make it right" I was offered a 14.00 credit! Wow, thought a good customer would be worth more.
Staff were friendly and polite, vehicle in good condition, booking easy, but a series of errors were made from pickup onward. Reserved an SUV but received a pickup truck and were only informed there was nothing else available after we'd already arrived. Vehicle wasn't ready when it was meant to be, had to wait an extra 30 minutes. Then once the vehicle was returned and payment was being made they processed a different customer's order and didn't realize until I double checked the order confirmation afterward and let them know.
Unsavory business practices. The thing you need to know as a person living in Minnesota is your existing insurance covers damage to the rental vehicle, and if the vehicle does sustain damage, there is NO DEDUCTIBLE. The salesmen will tell you that "I personally purchase this when I rent vehicles", however I have to believe they are rewarded for selling extra insurance.
Oh and the vehicle smelled like smoke. We have an infant and a 2 year old and none of us like the smell of smoke.
Rented a vehicle a few months ago...had an uneasy feeling with the manager named Jeff. The vehicle was fine but I felt like something was off and I was getting a bad deal. Who knows, but that feeling is sticking with me.
Edit 12/17/17: have tried to get in touch with manager a few times over the week but manager has been away with another customer or at lunch. Going to try working with the person that replied to my review.
Thanks Enterprise (and Andrew)! - for the free Mini-van upgrade. We had so much fun driving it and felt very safe on the road! "You" made the trip!!! Best -
Business practices at this location are quite unethical, and I recommend being informed, and using a different location and/or service.
We recently rented a vehicle from this location, paid for the insurance (which the manager said was $10 but turned out to be $19.99), and the vehicle sustained damage. When the vehicle was returned, the salesman called, and tried to use my Nationwide insurance for the damage.
Update 12/28/18: Received call from manager/owner (I'm not sure). I couldn't get to the phone but he left a message with his number. I called back several times and he finally answered, however he was busy with a personal matter. A few days later he called back and I explained my complaints, and said it was in email and within this review. He said he was would look and then and do his research and call me back. Have not heard back since. I'm not expecting a call back or anything at this point. I just want people to know Enterprise (and likely most rental car companies) operate under unethical business practices and you should be vigilant in dealing with these people).
Jeff is the manager at this location.
